Mr. Charles Eric Eesley has been serving as an Independent Non-Executive Director of Vobile Group since December 2017. He is also the Chairman of the Group's Remuneration Committee and a member of the Audit Committee and the Nomination Committee. He has more than a decade of educational and research experience in technology and entrepreneurship. Since 2009, he has been a faculty member at Stanford University, currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at the School of Engineering, and a W.M. Keck Foundation Faculty Scholar. As a member of the Stanford Technology Ventures Program, he conducts research on the impact of institutional and university environments on high-growth technology entrepreneurship.
In 2020, he was honored with the third (2019-2020) Annual “Responsible Research in Management” Award, and in 2018, the Technical University of Munich bestowed upon him the TUM Research Excellence Award. He received his Ph.D. in Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States in June 2009 and his Bachelor of Science degree from Duke University in May 2002.
